The AKA Cardio-Karate is a class run at the Australian Karate Academy. The classes target areas of the body that other workouts don’t, and because of the experience in karate, the combat techniques really work. There are plenty of boxercise and Tae-bo classes out there, but very few teach correct techniques like the AKA Cardio-Karate classes do.
- warm-up and stretching
- solo punching – single and double punches
- bag punching with partner – alternating between 1, 2, and 3 punches
- solo knees and front kicks
- kneeing and kicking bags with a partner
- circuit work – 2 laps of 5 stations
- cool-down and stretching
As you can see there is plenty of upper body, lower body, and core strength exercises to get you in the best shape of your life!
